I don’t even know why I love this album so much. Oh and the music videos are the best Paramore have made thus far, dare I say. This album is the perfect recipe of ridiculously well produced music and emotionally jarring but relatable lyrics, making for the catchiest synth-pop music I’ve heard in a while. I will die arguing how underrated this album was this year and how everyone needs to go listen to it. It’s been over 10 years of them performing that song and it’s always a party. Seeing them live at the Royal Albert Hall and screaming along to ‘Misery Business’ might just be one of the greatest concert moments of my life. It cemented Paramore’s place as a respected and successful band, and includes too many iconic songs not to put it in at least 3rd place. This album is as awesome as the fact that it officially has an exclamation point in the title. Also ‘Last Hope’ gave me exactly that – hope! That song is my ultimate pick-me-up. I love the variation this album has with the rock-hard anthems interspersed with the softer melodies in-between, featuring a ukulele and Hayley’s voice alone. Ranking these albums is harder than I thought. I looove this album and boy do I relate to Hayley’s lyrics in ‘Grow Up’ and ‘Ain’t It Fun’, but again, someone had to go fourth. For a debut album it’s still really impressive, and ‘Franklin’ is an great tune to dramatically listen to while you look out of a rainy window on your train ride home. I think most people agree on this with me though? No? Okay, I’m sorry. I’m sorry! I know it’s Paramore’s baby! But one did have to go last… The reason Paramore is my favourite band is that no song is skip-worthy to me, however this album does have a few tracks I miss.
